Archive Record Search
Locate a specific birth, marriage or death record in archival documents.
Service Description
Archive Record Search is designed to locate one specific historical record when the essential information is already known. This service is ideal if you have a surname, an approximate or exact year, a locality, and the name of the parish or church where the event was recorded. I will conduct a professional archive record search within one specific archival book or record source for the requested year to locate a birth, marriage, or death entry for a particular individual. The selected source may be: A parish register or church metric book A confession list A revision list A census book Another specific historical or archival document The service covers the examination of one specified archival book or source, rather than multiple different record collections for the same year. It includes one surname, one parish or church, and one calendar year. If the church or exact archival source is unknown, preliminary research or a broader search may be required and priced separately. If several churches or several archival books need to be examined, each additional source is treated as a separate search. If the requested record is located, you will receive: A high-quality digital copy (scan or photograph) of the original document whenever available An English summary of the record A complete source citation for your genealogy research Recommendations for further family history research, when appropriate This service is ideal for clients researching Russian genealogy, building a family tree, documenting their family history, or confirming information about an ancestor through original parish records, church registers, metric books, census records, and other archival documents. Estimated completion time: 3-5 weeks.
